Glad you got a bargain, mine due tomorrow, shame I paid 38.50 lol

Just remember they will take full 63.50 then refund any amounts as separate transactions, and would not surprise me if they charged you £60 then 3.50 as separate transactions too!

Only need to contact them or complain if they take payment then if no sign of refund amounts within day or 2.

Then its your choice keep for 63.50 or return for free if ya dont get price you want.

(if you replace 'shaver' in place of their discussed 'mobile phone'...could be the same thread!)

I'd like to buy this shaver, but frankly it seems the final LXdirect price you pay is a bit of a lottery...for me, their final confirmation screen showed £63.60! (even though the screen previous showed £38.50...& even then, that price was a mystery as it seemed to initially take a -10% discount code too, but I can't see it applied!). Madness.

And do you know why threads go this way?

People see accounts showing original price etc not showing discount and everyone panics and jumps to conclusions before waiting and actually giving the company chance to process and complete the order.

It dont matter how many times people say it but they will no doubt charge your card with 63.50 then refund separately so dont be shocked if this happens, its quite normal.

If people waited and saw transactions on bank statements first these threads would not get out of control in such a way.

If you get charged then give them at least a day to process refund too??

Then contact them or return? Or is this just silly?

So you're suggesting folks should take a punt & press the confirm key even when the confirmation screen shows a (non-voucher discounted) higher price, just to see what price they eventually get showing up on their credit card?

    Punt no,

like I said the deal is already half rrp if you try to use discount vouchers thats your choice.

And like I also said if you dont get the price you want to pay then you can contact them or send it back for a full refund!

You pay your money you take your choice, if you want to buy this at argos for 119.99 you could just go there instead, no vouchers no problems

    FYI

Received mine today, heavily discounted as above, already had a go - great results, even though I'm not used to an electric.

Ordered and delivered inside 24 hours, the unit was even fully charged - great service!!!

  • In the end I did place an order last night.

If you're like me & worried about the final price, don't be put off buy the fluctuating price as you progress through the checkout screens (one minute £38.50, next £63.50)...on the final screen (ie after you've paid) it does indeed show £38.50 (though I believe you can also get an extra 10% off with the right LXDirect code).

    Don't forget Quidco too,
  • Received my a couple of days ago, paying £38.50. I've tried it today and it gives a poor shave in my opinion. Fails to cut thick hairs and produces a very heavy razor rash. I regret buying this. Another case of the paradox of money saving, I'm now stuck with a practicaly useless razor!

It's very much down to personal taste, and I'm new to electric.

I love my unit, no more razor burn, no more cuts, I can shave, moisturise and go in less than 5 mins, I could have never done this with a Wilko or Gillette.

    For me, money well spent!
