Can anyone help..
I'm due to go back to work soon after maternity leave but I'm worried I will not be able to.
When I go back to work I will be working 35 hours per week. I will have a 5 mth old who will need full day nursery care and a 4 year old that will need wrap around care as she is at half day nursery care. My oldest daughter will need after school care.
The only problem is my partner's incapacity benefit has just been stopped.
From what I know you cannot get childcare fees if you have a partner not working or sick. I know my partner could cope with dealing with my three year old and taking/picking her up from school, but it's too risky for him to look after the baby by himself. He has bad back and leg problems and IBS, some days he cannot get out of bed for ages in pain.
What can I do?

My partner has done and we have been told we can claim IS in the meantime, but this will not make us eligable for childcare costs? or does it?Paula0

no, if there is a partner at home then you will not recieve child care tax credits0

Do the maths and make sure that whatever the outcome it is worth you going back to work full time. You may find that you and your husband are just as well off on a 16hr income.Loving the dtd thread. x0

After reading some of your previous posts I can see your a very negative person with a lot of negative comments to make on other peoples situations. I feel sorry for you, the OP can change her position you'll always be you!Saving needed to emigrate to Oz*September 2015*

Are you claiming Child Tax Credit? Working Tax Credit? Can you get childcare vouchers at work? Are you claiming Housing Benefit in which case up to a ceiling a big, big chunk of your nett earnings are ignored so you can afford to pay child care costs.
You won't get IS on £16,500 a year guarantee it. Not unless one of you disabled.0
