Hello, I have buried my head in the sand for about a year now, since my husband lost his job in the armed forces we have built up over £1000 in rent arrears, car finance took back the car but still leaving us with £7000 to pay and now on top of that the bank is throwing charges at us right left and centre.
I now have a court hearing at the end of the month since we are now being evicted from our home. the local council has given us homeless status and are working hard to find us a home in time since we have 4 small children. We do now get full housing benefit now which is stop the rent arrears going any higher
I work part time 15 hours and take home just over £400 a month - this is used for bills
our food and clothes is paid for with tax credits of £157 a week and child benefit of £200 a month
once all other bills have been paid phone, gas etc including £100 for a bank loan there is only about £90 left over to split between the two.
I am desperate to pay these big debts off but at £45 a month I'm going to get nowhere fast. I am at the point of looking around the house to see what I can put up for sale on ebay.
I would work more hours but would then lose most of the benfits we are currently getting which would leave us with less than we get now.
please help we are desperate

You will not just get advice on your debts, but people know an awful lot about benefits etc etc.0 -
I don't really have any advice, but just wanted to say I am sure you will get something sorted out, try not to worry too much. Hopefully you'll get lots of advice on here. It's hard when you cannot see the wood for the trees and the best of luck to you.0

Hi ally. Try not to despair. You have come to the right place for help.

First things first we can't really advise you properly until we know what we are dealing with. Have a look at this thread for a guide on SOA's then post back here with one.
