I have just registered for the Equifax credit report and have noticed a large number of searches, 53 in total

Majority of these searches are from 2010 but one in particular is from January 2010.

How long are searches meant to stay on my report for?

I also have a credit agreement with Virgin Media and the status is 'Satisfied' and was last updated on 10/06/2010. It wasn't a default or anything, just that I closed the account due to moving. How long will that be on there for?

On equifax credit application searches and quotation searches should stay on just 1 year. Debt collection searches stay on 2 years.

A satisfied/closed account (with no default) stays on for 6years from the date of satisfaction.

Thanks, will the satisfied account have any negative effect on any future applications? I only ever made one late payment.
