If there's genuine need for help due to circumstances out of their control they usually get greeted with symapthy and offered good advice.

If they come here saying things like "how do I get out of paying" then they can go suck a fat one.

I'm inclined to agree ... The answer to the question "Do I have to pay it back?" is almost invariably "Yes" (excepting mistaken identity or fraud) and people looking to weasel out of it on a technicality aren't going to find much sympathy here.

Of those struggling, well some need to be told not to use these companies because they almost always amplify financial difficulties, the adverts certainly don't warn you of it. Yes (in some circumstances) they can be cheaper than an overdraft, but often the preparation required for ending the cycle of indebtedness when the loan becomes due isn't made and that needs to be pointed out too. Not saying it doesn't help.

I feel for people with debt problems that have spiralled down to the Wonga level of severity. I certainly don't feel for people looking to solve their problems by finding a way to get out of their obligations though.
If you think of it as 'us' verses 'them', then it's probably your side that are the villains.

Yes, he had all those things, but conversely he had no common sense, manners, civility, financial acumen, patience, self control or reason to expect anyone would either sympathise or help him.
