Tesco points > Air Miles : Worth it?

Im having to save up to bring a family over from the States in October (Wedding!) and am thinking of using Air Miles as an option (signing up for deals, Tesco, and other offers - even ebay).
Is the tesco air mile offer actually any good? Or am I just putting myself through too much hassle for very little gain? I normally use Expedia / Travelocity to find some decent flight deals (i.e booking early, off peak flight time etc etc)
Any opinions / experiences are welcome
