Wondering if someone could help me ive just been made redundant and have a family to provide for i stupidly took one of those pay day loans before i received a redundancy letter, i have borrowed off wonga before with no problems.
I am not going to struggle to pay this loan back i borrowed £350 and the interest is absolutly shocking £445 they want back over 38 days.
Last thing i want is pestering phone calls every day and then a debt collector on my back.
I aint selling my personal belongings to pay these muppets back they will get it back when im back into work,
someone told me if i ring them then can be quiet reasonable with these circumstances.
Im also thinking of going to my local CAB to see what they can do for me.

email the same to these 3 email addresses errol.damelin@wonga.com balanceoffer@wonga.com john.hegarty@wonga.com

explain you cicumstances and offer upto a 12mth payback offer.
ask or sort code/account number so you can pay back through bank xfer. if you havent cancelled you bank card do so now, and set up new account, move any money that will be paid into that accout to another account, or you will get fleeced.
they will email back within 2 hrs, and freeze interest/charges immediately....
inging them unfortunately wont get you anywhere, not til you default, but emailling those addresses will stop interest from today.Promo codes are never always cheaper..... isnt that right EuropCar?0 -

I saw an advert for wonga on the tv the other day, at the bottom it said that they charge 1734% interest. So Im not sure why £445 is shocking as they tell you before hand what the interest is.0

He also says in the other thread he never uses credit and never has needed to, he saves up!
But openly admits in this thread to borrowing from wonga just before getting a redundancy letter and having used them in the past;)
In my books thats credit:rotfl:0 -
all payday loans, credit cards and any other credit you take are choices - you are not forced to take them out and you are aware of the APR when you go through the process!
we have all made mistakes and i am still paying the price! but to blame the company is abit out of order really!0 -
you'd have been better borrowing it from provident or shopacheck or the like as although i don't like finance myself at least its spread over a few months and the repayment schedule is realistic unlike this where the interest is 440 odd quid, god i'd die if i had to pay that much interest over to someone to borrow the money:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one
