Before I go any further, I may not post that often as for some reason I can only access the MSE forums on my really old and slow laptop, so I do apologise in advance.
Any way, I have recently fell out of Debt Management, as I couldn't afford it - how ironic - but realised that I do need to afford it. I did make arrangements with my Debt Manager to re-assess my situation but they never called me at the agreed time! As a result, that situation has broken down.
I volunteer at my local CAB and heard of Debt Relief Orders, so in my own time, I went on the public CAB website and read up on them. I seemed a likely candidate, and I was very keen to look into it further. I looked at the list of intermidiaries, and got in touch with Christians Against Poverty. They have refused a DRO and want us to try Debt Management again
So I am giving it one last go, before pushing for a DRO. Myself and DF both agree that we have the money, it is the budgeting that is the issue. CAP claim to help you with your budgeting skills, so maybe we will be okay. I am just so fed up of trying to get out of debt. I know I probably need to work harder or something, but I really feel like this is the last chance for me. I haven't been able to get credit properly for nearly 10 years, so anything I can do will improve my rating, I am sure!
So good luck everyone else, and I hope to use this forum often (when I can be bothered to use the old lappy!)

Please post up an SOA and we'll help you with budgeting here. There are often ways you can cut down that are obvious to other people but are habitual to you. Also, take a look at the old style money saving boards.
Good luckI'm a qualified accountant but please make sure you get expert advice as any opinion is made in a private capacity.

What are the old style forums and how would I access them? I don't know whether it is my anti virus or what that is preventing me accessing here on the other netbook. I use Google on both.
Have had a look at the SOA but it is too late for me to fill it in now! Also looked at the 'Snowball' thingy, which is in the newbie thread with the SOA. Have e-mailed myself the links, so that whichever puter I use, I can access them, otherwise I will put it off, and put it off, and put it off.
So I will be back when I have done that!0 -

Sorry, I'm on my iPad so I can't make it into a fancy link, you'll have to cut and paste! Good luck with doing the SOA and snowball calculator. PM me if you want any advice or post a thread here.I'm a qualified accountant but please make sure you get expert advice as any opinion is made in a private capacity.
