Hi :j
due to an administrative error on my part
I have just realised that I have a tesco grocery delivery tomorrow (11-1) but insufficient (just
) funds until midnight tonight!
I called Tesco to ask when funds are drawn/checked/whatever it is called, and she said "probably sometime tomorrow, but if there is a problem you will be called to be told your order is cancelled"
Just wondered if anyone is able to shed any further light on this? Is it likely to be cancelled?!:rotfl:

They take the money when its picked. So they can charge you for substitutions and the like.0

Fab thanks, but I have no idea when they will likely pick an order for 11-1 tomorrow............likely to be after midnight thought I assume!?0 -
My other half works on Tesco dot com. The order will be picked tomorrow morning. At her store, if there is a problem with payment, they normally phone the customer to give them an option to use a different card.

That happened to me once. I hadn't ordered for ages and didn't realise that my stored card details were no longer valid. They rang me up at the time of charging and I just gave them my new details - it was in the morning of the delivery.Jane

What is the last time they have given you to edit your order?
For me, it's usually around midnight. They certainly won't start picking until then, so you'll be fine.
Also, as others have said, they'll more than likely ring if there is a problem rather than just cancelling.0 -

They have done this to me before, I sometimes use a seperate account and make sure it has the right money in if I have a lot of offers, so I find out they've screwed it up before I get charged an extra £30 (happened at Christmas once) and I've got a fair idea what needs sending back.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Well I have my food :rotfl:
It did not show that a payment had been taken at 07.30 this morning, but they must have reserved it, as it was missing from my account.....and it is still not listed as a transaction yet (I assume it will apeear soon!) but the money has gone.0
