Hi guys

I have a prob where i need a £600 loan which I'd like to repay over 6 or 12 months. I'd like it to be a paperless loan (like payday loans - i cant use them though). Can anyone advise??

Not sure if you can get £600 loans, some organisations give you the minimum £1000 of which it will be of higher interest. I know Northern Rock offer £1000 at 5.9% which you can pay over 12 months which is one of the cheaper rates compared to AA, etc who charge 14.9%

If your specifically after £600 you might want to get a 0% interest free balance transfer credit card for 6 or 12 months that possibly will work out cheaper.

  • egg card is paperless, you sign the agreement online. and you dont get a statement in the post.

(obviously they will need to send you a card)

Moneysupermarket http://www.moneysupermarket.com/loans/ would be a good place to start to check for the best rate on the loan considering the amount you want. I checked and there are some lenders that provide loans for £600 however as I suggested in my previous post the rate of interest is higher compared to taking out £1000.

If you applied for a loan online you possibly would get a better rate, however the forms they send you through the post will need to be signed to agree to there terms of there loan. So its not truly paperless.

As Shaker suggests egg card is paperless so it could be a good card to go for.

Considering the amount you want they might be other forum users who may provide alternative solutions.

  • I'd bet that once you have applied, they will give you an in principle decision, then ask you for a fee up front.

how does that work??? I didnt even realise that some companies when giving loans asked you for money first?! Surely in the main people applying for loans at these places dont have money - hence applying?

They are brokers rather than lenders.... because they specialise in bad debt people it is hard to find lender that will accept their customers and when they do they arent going to be giving out great commission for finding poor quality customers therefore they charge a fee for their services up front.

Looking for £600 sounds more like needing one of the likes of prudential with their ridiculous interest rates.

  • Try https://www.zopa.com min loan is £1000 but you could repay the extra £400 straight away without penalty.
