hi just wondering if anyone has heard of nielsen consumer panel where they send you a scanner and you scan groceries and items you purchase and in return they send you gifts.
sounds a bit weird but if its genuine may just give it a go. dont want to be paying any money out though so any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

Not a scam, takes a while to earn the "gifts" though.0

is it really worth it then or a bit to time consuming. cant see that its going to be very hard because i can just scan as i put my groceries away but if its months of work to earn something worth about £10 its not going to be worth it? thanks0

Hi there
I do it but it does take months to get the points. I bag all my shopping up in types: veg, fish, etc. Anything with a bar code goes through great - no problems - anything fresh like fish or meat you have to scan from their book which takes a little longer. I don't find it a problems.
But I haven't been able to collect enough points for a gift yet (about a year). They also send you surveys which top up the points and the occasional products (hair spray) to test.
All in all - I'm doing it. It takes about five mintes after every shop.
Hope that helps0 -

I have been doing it for 5 or 6 years and had goods worth over £200.
Apart from the points for scanning there are free monthly prize draws (currently for a couple of iPad 2's and 6 DAB/Light radios) and as well as points for surveys each one completed upto 31/03/2012 earns an entry into a draw for a car (same thing last year as well).0
