Lembas Whole Foods - Bulk Buying

I just came across this place earlier and noticed that they stock a lot of products and there seem to be some good savings compared to supermarket prices these days which is pretty rare. They're in Sheffield but the website does say that they deliver.

http://www.lembas.co.uk

You can't see the prices until you registered with them (it's free) so here are some examples:

1kg sunflower seeds is £2.31, compared to £6.40 at Asda
1kg cumin seeds are £5.89, compared to £15.70 at Asda
1kg red lentils are £1.79, compared to £2.20 at Asda

Has anyone ever shopped here? Is there anywhere similar that's cheaper?

Thanks

:)

    hi

we use Lembas for our food co-op - it works best if you get together (either formally or informally) with a group of others and place a bulk order with Lembas. They do deliver within the region but only if you order approx £100 or £150 pounds worth which is an awful lot of sunflower seeds or lentils! that is why it works best if you order as a group or co-op with neighbours.

Once it arrives you can split it up into portions for each household etc so that you dont need to store 5kg of something...

I only live a few miles away so delivery isn't a problem! Can I ask what kind of things you find it worthwhile to buy?

    Thanks :)

You have to register to see the prices by the look of it.

A copy of the current Lembas price list can be downloaded from:

As with most retailers not everything they sell is that cheap so shop around before making a purchase.
  • I use Lembas as I only live on the next road I pop in, it is really good for free from foods and health foods prices are much cheaper than at standard health shops. They also do toothpastes ect - its more of your tea tree than colgate great shop
