retrieve loose change from car seat

My husband keeps losing change from his pocket down the side of his car seat down in the gap between the seat and the hand brake. I looked yesterday and i reckon there is about £15 down there. Have tried long tweezers and pliers and moving seat backwards but haven't managed to get any of it out yet.

I have already learnt to check down the side of the sofa as he is notorious for losing loose change.

Any suggestions please?

One of these pick up grabbers might do it

available here, or maybe at your local pound shop?

I have also used a piece of blu-tack on the end of a stick!

  • I have a similar thing to this, but it is telescopic with a magnet on the end, that might do the trick, although not all coins are magnetic according to my son! It came from a pound shop. If that was me I would be trying everything going & say to your hubby whoever gets it out gets to keep it. Finders Keepers!!!

I could lend you my OH. She could retrieve money from between two bricks cemented together.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

thanks for that. I will try the blue tack on the end of a thin stick as it seems a shame to leave it there when it could be found a good loving home in my purse. if i succeed i will let you know how much I have made.

I too had this problem and found that depending on how your handbrake is constructed you can separate it and it will all clip back together
