looking for advice please!!!

Hi was wanting some feedback,i am getting married next year and a friend has told me about a company that do wedding montages.Just incase your not sure what it is i will explain. While you are sitting down to your meal there is a large projector which displays a photo gallery,it could be pictures of you and ur hubby to be and family over the years, they add special effects and all your favorite music. My friend says they also can put it all on cds and thats what she used as a wedding favour it is a great keepsake of the day.
is this a but cheesy or does anyone else think it would be a great idea.my friend said her guests stood up and applauded at the end,the bride also had alot of family that had passed away so they had there pics on it,there was alot of tears!but happy ones.
any feedback would be great!!

I've been to weddings with those sort of shows............I thought they were really good ideas, especially as they usually show pictures of the bride and groom from birth upwards and important family members growing up. Very amusing and a great remembrance of the day
Life is like a box of chocolates..........you always seem to pick the hard ones!

My cousin did this for her daughters 21st last year, using a powerpoint presentation which she then saved onto disc, the projection process wasnt difficult at all either, she used her laptop and some bits she picked up at pc world, projected it onto a plain wall at the village hall.
  • there are many photo programmes available to do this type of thing yourself and they wont cost nearly as much as getting a company to do it for you. i personally wouldnt want it, but if its what you want then do it.
