Hi all,
My mum died last year and I have received a letter from a DCA asking for a copy of the death certificate.
In the letter they are also asking for details of the solicitor/personal representative dealing with the estate.
Why would they want those contact details? Do I have to give them?
Many thanks.

hi
they want to know if your mum left any money with which to pay off the debts.
Do you have any idea how old the debt was and when she last paid towards it.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Thanks Ras.
Nope, no idea. Mum was quite a private person. Didn't even know she had debt!
There's no estate. Should I just tell them that in the letter?0 -
Yes just advise them there were no assets and you are surprised to learn that she had any debts..If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
