So you mean 'other people's plums', ie stealing?

No I don't mean that at all, I have never stolen and never intend to. What on earth made you think I wanted to steal?

I mean, wild fruit of any sort, or where I lived before I had apple and plum trees laiden with fruit and I used to put it in the front garden for people to help themselves.

Also sometimes people have a glut of one particular thing that they would rather give away than throw away. I was just hoping someone would like to help.:)

    Hi

Not too far from Reading... Bracknell has a public park called Lily Hill Park - it has a public orchard of old English variety apples (don't think that it has plums!), anyone is welcome to go and pick some as long as you don't "strip" the trees so that others can enjoy some as well.

If you belong to Freecycle you could ask on there. I have had apples before as people often can't eat what they have.
    Started comping February 2012
    Wins so far:
Mascara, dry shampoo, chocolates, Loreal Elvive goody bag.Pot noodle fork , maggi mix, couscous,

Not close to you I'm afraid, but we have cherry plums near us, which are delicious, the trees are laden with them at this time of year, I dont think many people pick them!

Fair enough, it was just that most plum trees belong to somebody. But I guess there will be a few on common land, roadsides etc, which would be fair game.
