PPI on debt, how to get removed?

We owe Barclays some money and the majority of the remaining amount of this debt is for PPI that was added in a lump sum. I remember the amount being added on and it will wipe out almost all of the debt if we can get it back, however, I do not know where the paperwork is.

Please can someone advise on where I start to enable us to get copies of the paperwork and also make the claim so we can get this sorted once and for all please. We have been talking about doing it for ages and settling the debt but never seem to find the time, which is daft.

How do we make the request and also tell the poeople chasing the money that we are waiting until we hear about the PPI claim.

Thanks for any help and pointers you can give me.

Hi there, can you get the account number from the company you are making payments to?.
I would have thought they would have this.
Just contact the company and tell them you are going for ppi miss sell with this,as had the ppi not been there this debt would have been paid a long time ago.

sorry I can't help, but it might be worth you posting your query on the PPI reclaim board as some of the experts on there seem very knowlegdable

Thank you for the replies. I think I have the number because yes, we are still making the payments every month but at a reduced rate. We have not missed a payment. I have posted the question on the PPI board. I did look there first but thought over here might be better. Thank you for answering.

In the meantime I am going to send a letter to the company (they are asking us for more money) and will tell them that the balance is under dispute because of the PPI.
