Broadband in Spain.

I am holidaying in Spain soon and am taking my netbook with me to keep the kid entertained during the flight etc and was wondering if there is any recomended ways of connecting to the internet while I am there? I currently have an O2 dongle and sim which I use while on the move in the Uk but my understanding is that by using O2 abroad is an expensive option.
I have found this http://www.abroadband.com/en/GB/home but maybe their is a cheaper option?

Get a local SIM or dongle, or use wi-fi connections at internet cafes etc.
If you use a UK dongle and SIM then you will most likely come back to a huge bill.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

What model number is written on the back of the dongle?

Carrefour(Spain) sell a mobile data SIM for 10 euros. Comes with 5 euros of credit. They sell you 100MB of data per day for 1 euro(+IVA) per day.

    Huawei HSPA USB Stick
    Model No: E1752Cu.

Tell me more about Carrefour as it sounds like my ticket.
    Where can I buy it?
    Can I top up online?
I will only be using it to look up local attractions and whats on type of things and maybe Skype my Mother for a couple of minutes.

Carrefour M!vil Prepago Pictured(within the link) is the modem, but you may only want the SIM. Make sure that you purchase the mobile broadband SIM and not the mobile telephone SIM, as they have different data packages attached.
Hopefully there will be a Carrefour in the area.

Your modem will probably need to be unlocked. Will cost anything from nothing to around £4. If you need unlocking instructions let me know.

If you are nervous about unlocking(does no harm), the Carrefour modem costs 29 euros(includes 5 euros of credit).

Ok guys, I got the dongle unlocked and it is running ok on my giff gaff sim card.
Is it now just a case of arriving in Benidorm, finding a Carrefour supermarket, purchasing the data sim, inserting it into the dongle and dongle into laptop and away I go?
I hear I may need to enter apn and proxy settings into the O2 connection manager as I had to do with the giff gaff sim (new gprs/3g profile), if so where can I get these settings from?
