Seed and nut storage

The 99p shop sells their version of the Lock & Lock boxes and I use them for everything. Not had any bugs in anything and liquid doesn't spill so I'm sure they're as good as the very expensive versions. Perhaps they don't last quite so long, but I've had some of mine for ages and they still do the job.
Beat me to it - much cheaper than John Lewis, Lakeland etc but just as effective! The only thing I would add is that now is the time to replace your stash of nuts, supermarkets in London and areas where there is a large Muslim population seem to be doing good deals on Indian foods - including big bags of nuts.
I tend to stock up for the whole year every 11 months or so - thank goodness for the lunar calender :AValue-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Thanks, yes spotted the flour thread earlier, will read it properly again! If I found a bug half alive attached to an opened box of cereal (cardboard box, plastic sealed bag inside), can I brave eating the contents? Think the creepies are earwigs as they have the two tail bits and two longer bits at the front; droppings are everywhere.0

are there any 'non cereal' looking bits right in the bottom of the bag? I found droppings etc would concentrate at the bottom being small
if there aren't any, I'd put some of the cereal in a bowl, have a look at it & if it looks ok I'd eat it
