I'm gutted because when I had my carboot sale I sold an old cheapie I had for next to nothing & that was only a couple of months ago:o
I knew I should have kept it - for travel if nothing else:o

ETA my hair is fairly thick & I rough dry it & GHD it.

It is the brush that helps mine, a natural bristle one. I have given up on hair products. I know there is a hairdryer on QVC on Thursday as a TSV. I would watch that and see first.

I would say if you possibly can stump up the few more £'s for the Babyliss.

I've got two, my first I've had for, I kid you not, 25 years and it's still going strong, my second one which I only bought because I though I'd lost my first one on holiday I've had for 7 years. Neither has ever given me any trouble at all, before that I used to go through them at a rate of one a year.

I didn't know what was a good make for hairdryers, I didn't know Babyliss were good.

    How about this one then?

I bought the Babyliss one a couple of weeks ago after my old hairdryer went bang!

It's good, but I expected it to have a bit more 'oomph' considering it was a higher wattage than my old one (but I appreciate that I don't really understand how they work). Also, the 'turbo' button has to be held in when you're using it, so it can be a bit awkward to hold.

    That's a good price though - I paid £20.00 for mine!

Best hair dryer I've had is an ETI turbo dryer. http://www.etihairdryer.co.uk/products/97/ETI-Turbo-dryer.htm

I got mines from Sallys about 4 years ago and bought a 2nd for backup when they were in the sale, still not needed to use the backup. They don't come with anything fancy only a nozzle, but it's by far the best hair dryer I've ever had, even the local hairdressers has the same one. It doesn't over heat and is really powerful, so dries your hair pretty fast. It has 2 speed settings and 4 heat settings.
