I've found the falafel recipe in the recipe thread and want to give it a go, but I don't have a deep fat fryer. Can I do it any other way?
TIA,
Brassic.

I always shallow fry my felafel - but you don't have to have a deep fat fryer to deep fry - you can do it in a pan, preferably a heavy bottomed one. Don't fill more than half-full with oil, and watch it at all times, as the temperature isn't regulated so it is up to you to make sure it is safe.0

I shallow fry mine too. If you make them into little burger shapes rather than balls they are easier to fry in a pan0

Personally I think falafel are nicer shallow fried. I only lightly brush the pan with oil (cheapskate!) so that they're almost toasted rather than fried. Healthier too!0
