Mortgage application... Referred

Evening...

Just wondering if any body here has had their mortgage application accepted after being referred to the underwriters? While I realise that all mortgages are underwritten, what I mean is the stage before the AIP.

My last application was approved instantly over the telephone, this new application which involves porting my mortgage, additional borrowing and adding my partner to mortgage wasn't approved or declined but referred to underwriters.... Decision day tomorrow! :eek:

Sometimes the computer can't always give an answer, so an underwriter looks at the application and makes the decision instead.

Ours with YBS was referred, and a couple of days later accepted. I think anything not straight forward (which yours definitely isn't!) will be referred.
