becoming a driving instructor

hi i really need some help, i made the decision a long time ago to train to become a driving instructor, i have looked into it in detail and although its alot of money no matter where you go i did manage to find a reputable company to provide the training at a reasonable price. having said that its still alot of money to pay out so i wondered if someone on this site could answer the killer question for me the question which will make the decision for me on weather i go ahead or not, i will have to undergo a crb check before i can be accepted on the adi register but i have a caution from last october for fraud by misrepresentation! a stupid mistake i made while backed into a corner but would this affect the decision of the dsa when they come to putting my name on the adi register??

I don't know: it might, because it's so recent, and because you're in a car with people (sometimes under 18) and taking money off them.i will have to undergo a crb check before i can be accepted on the adi register but i have a caution from last october for fraud by misrepresentation! a stupid mistake i made while backed into a corner but would this affect the decision of the dsa when they come to putting my name on the adi register??
I would phone the ADI and ask them what sorts of cautions / convictions do prevent people being registered.
And when you've done that, I'd search this board and Small Biz for threads about driving instructors: it's not an easy way to make a living.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
I wouldn't like to have a driving instructor with a fraud caution (even if it was an honest mistake) and I think this would affect your application. I'd definitely check that before you put down any money on pursuing this.0
