I dont know why some people feel the need just to upset everyone else, its just awful, i think almost everyones family has one the sooner they are stood up against the better

My nan is quite negative.. If she thinks you're being stupid she comes out and tells you so and sometimes her attitude gets on my berves but it's better than all the b!tching the rest of the family does, they all ring me to moan about each other and I know about me to each other behind my back.

My mum in fact was so horrible recently that I had to tell her to do one. You have my sympathy, but Well Done :D:T

And I shared a few choice words with SIL which I have had to hold back many years. DH agrees that she's a very selfish person but he loves her as she's his sister so I wouldn't spoil his relationship with her (although she only ever calls him if she needs work doing at her house).

    Felt GOOD!

I'm so sorry that you lost your baby Butterflylady - its an awful pain to suffer xxx

so glad you stood up to them

to the poster who said that their family slag each other off, I recently spoke to my MIL when I've bitten my lip so many times.
she really slags off my husband's brother's gf who none of us like. I made it clear a long time ago when she was bang out of order to me that I will be civil but I don't like you because of what you've done, whereas my MIL is nice as pie to her face but nasty behind it, so I told her I thought she was two faced and it puts me in an uncomfortable position - needless to say she didnt like it but it needed doing.
