Dublin airport

Hi, we (2 adults, 2 kids) are flying from Dublin airport in a few weeks and will be away for 15 nights. So far I've found airport parking for about 75Euro upwards and hotel/parking combo deals for about 150Euro upwards. These both seem quite pricey. I don't yet know how much a taxi would be but we're in South Down (N Ireland) so I'd guess £50+?
I don't desperately want to do the Belfast - Dublin airport bus as the kids are aged 2 & 5 and we'd need to catch the bus at about 3am on the way down to the airport (plus getting a taxi to Newry to catch the bus).
I have read the guide here to airport parking and can't beat the prices above.....
Any ideas for alternative options or ways to do it cheaper. I don't think we can ask a friend to drive us as I can't think of anybody with a big enough car....
Thanks in advance

Taxi fare calculator come up with €180 Newry to Dublin airport one way!
Any chance of a friend driving your car?Dave0 -
I just got a quote for a taxi = £70 each way
Am looking at getting a friend to take us but our car is a small 7 seater which means either 7 seater with almost no boot or 5 seater and big boot..... We might all fit but we're going to have 2 littlies, 3 grown ups, 4 cases and a buggy.....
Any other ideas - keep 'em coming!1% at a time no. 40. £8000 (For dream family holiday) 94/100

Dublin airport have 2 weeks parking for the price of 1. Click the link on the right. I entered 15 days and it gives a price of €55, so about £50.

how about staying the night before at a hotel near the airport that incorporates parking in their rate and then use their shuttle bus to get to and from the airport.
we have done this before at bewleys hotel with the park, stay and fly tariff which gives you a nights accommodation in the hotel, 15 nights parking in the underground car park and a 24 hour airport shuttle bus for 129 euro.

Hi, I stayed in the City North Hotel at Easter -it was 69euro for a family room-2 adults and 2kids overnight and we left the car there for 19nights free. They shuttle you to the airport (for free)-takes about 15mins and the shuttle runs from the early hours every 1/2hour -you give them your return details and they collect you. Its a bit further out than the other airport hotels, but is a nice newly built hotel and the total price was a lot cheaper than anything else. I would use it again -hope that helps0

Thanks that looks excellent! Think I can get the hotel and parking for less than the cheapest parking!1% at a time no. 40. £8000 (For dream family holiday) 94/100

If you are getting the bus from Newry be very careful, as i've had issues with this before where the bus didn't stop in Newry!
My friends were going form Belfast and I was going from Newry, and they phoned me and said the bus was in Dundalk, it was full so didn't bother going into Newry
This was about 6am I think, thankfully my dad had left me to Newry and was able to drive me to Dublin Airport in time for the flight!Weight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.0 -
I too would recommend the City North Hotel. Stayed there in March this year before flying to the States for two weeks. Excellent hotel, lovely staff and bus to airport and collection at end of holiday made life so simple. We would definitely go this route again for any further holidays.0
