I had a CCJ against me, first I knew of owing anything to anyone.

I took advice and raised the N244 to challenge it.
Whilst that was going through I contacted the people who had originally invoiced me. There followed a million threats and arguments (we will fight you on the beaches type stuff). The people who I owed money to was a firm of Solicitors. "We know the Law inside out, we will wipe the floor with you" type stuff from them.

Before going to Court I sent the money to the Solicitors without their prior agreement.

Essentially, the CCJ was correctly issued as I hadn't paid the invoice (I didn't recieve the original invoice, nor any follow ups).

The critical part for me, was to challenge the existence to ensure the CCJ was NOT marked as SATISFIED (which would have ended up on my credit report) but moreover, to ensure the CCJ was SET ASIDE as if it was never issued in the first place.

    I won :)

    Hope that clarifies :)
