Write to at least one employer a week

What does this actually mean? On my job seeker agreement it tells me I have to write to at least one employer a week, does this mean send a general letter to see if they got any jobs for me or does it mean send an application form every week?

Did you not ask? It means find a company you would like to work for and either send a letter and CV or email in a CV with an enquiry to see if they have any suitable employement

It means make one speculative approach by letter to an employer : Send a letter on an off chance they may have a vacancy or keep your c.v for any future vacancies.

IF YOU ARE NOT SURE ABOUT ANYTHING ON YOUR AGREEMENT OR ABOUT YOUR CLAIM MAKE SURE AND ASK AS IT COULD AFFECT YOUR BENEFIT IN THE LONG RUN IF YOU ARE NOT DOING SOMETHING OR MISUNDERSTOOD WHAT WAS REQUIRED.
