Hi, is there any help out there for people who are on benefits (ESA) but looking to now become self employed? Grants? Courses? Support?
Any help much appreciated

Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?

There used to be the Return to Work Credit. You will need a proper business plan that is scrutinised by an outside agency, usually Business Link, and if they don't think its a workable plan, you'll not get it.0

That hardly sounds fair..... surely getting someone OFF long term benefits is a positive step? That all sounds like a big nasty hassle and surely would put people off trying to work?! Would they rather someone just didnt bother trying? Bloomin' system.... no wonder there are so many who just simply do not bother! Surely they should scrutinise the business plan, then address any issues they see fit and then support and advise the person how to improve their idea to enable them to bring their plan to fruition (sp?).... unless the plan was something utterly ridiculous like making chocolate teapots or trying to sell old plates with pictures of the Charles and Camilla on..?
Thanks for the info xx
