Evening hay,a similar thing happened to us a few months back,I mucked up the books, added instead of subtracted and was very short of the bills.I know this isn't the right time of year, but we did a boot sale and raised nearly £300,is there anyway you could do a garage sale or something like it?
I think the getting an overdraft extension is OK,but I wouldn't want to do this as the bank probably won't withdraw it after a few weeks, then it would be tempting to use it.
I have to confess, before our debt problems, but when money was tight,I cancelled some DDs to bide some time, never got charged and nobody questioned it.
Good luck
