Teeth Extraction and Valium Injection

On Wednesday I`m due to go to hospital to have three broken molars removed under valium injection...and I`m terrified. :o Didn`t help matters by reading online about it and scaring myself silly.
Is there anyone here who`s had it done and could offer some reassurance please?
What I`m most worried about is the accounts I read about where everyone seems to feel very drunk after they come round for ages....I have Meniere`s and worry about being dizzy and feeling sick or disoriented because of it.
Hoping someone can put me out of my misery here. :o

Please dont worry and stop listening and reading horror stories.
Each expereince is individual to the patient, (same as childbirth:D)
Mind, Id rather have a tooth out than go through labour, thank you very much:D:D

If youve had valium, it stands to reason youre going to feel woozy.
But, again, it stands to reason it's going to wear off.

You sound a positive person, work on that and think how much better youre going to feel afterwards.

Good luck and let us know how you get on. It may help others in the same situation at a later date.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

I take it you've been told to have someone with you when you go?

You will feel a bit spaced out afterwards, but you probably won't remember most of that! You will need someone with you to get you home safely.

You will be absolutely fine though.
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.
