Hi im new to this site and probably totally in the wrong place so please be gentle with me.
im wondering if anyone has any ideas if my mortgage company may offer me any help to get a new roof (or i anyone can point me in any other direction)
i am in minus equity so in my mind no they cant but someone told me that sometimes in order to protect their money and interests that they will lend you more if for vital repairs.
i dont know where else to go, im in minus equity and on a debt management plan so cant get any credit. i am saving but it will take me to 2013 to get there. oh and my mortgage is with northern rock. ive had a really bad time the last few years and im on my way out the hole but im stuck with this one.
any ideas - really dont want to lose the house - ive worked hard for it
thankyou xxx

yeah it came up when i bought the property but the surveyor said id need a new roof in 5 - 10 years. the water coming through my ceiling disagrees lol. ive only been in 3 years now and i have been saving for all that time but its not enough. ive already had some remedial work done in other areas of the roof last year and my builder said i need a new one then too - even he gave me 5 years though.
something drastics happened to the roof in the meantime but i cannot see the worst part of my roof from any angle to see what it is. wonder if at some point high winds or something have damaged it.0 -
nevermind - i'll just have to think of some way to earn / save more cash.0

Don't rule out repossession and bankruptcy.0

take a photo of your roof and post it up somewhere.....i can advise you if I can see enough of your roof.
dont let it leak for long as it will do further damage and will cost you more in the long term0
