Weber charcoal BBQ

Hi

Does anyone have a Weber charcoal bbq? I`m having trouble deciding whether to get the 47cm or 57cm size as there's a £30-£40 difference in price between the two sizes.

There are 4 of us, we only use the bbq for ourselves and don`t tend to use it when entertaining guests. Any help will be appreciated thanks! :)

Get the 57cm. The Weber is such a good bbq that you will want to put veggies on at the same time as the meat. Eg some quartered onions, pepper, mushrooms, whatever! My particular favourite is asparagus when it is in season and cheap(ish). You will USE that extra space, and if you really get the bbq bug, you will want to start zoning your cooking area and experimenting with slow cooking as well as high temp grilling.

Just to add - the one indspensable extra that you will need is a chimney starter. Makes it all so much faster and easier to get the bbq going.

Have a look at this site

I can vouch for the company and I swear no matter where you look you won't find one cheaper. We'd be upgrading to the 57cm one if our Weber wasn't so awesome that it doesn't need replacing yet, and we've been using it A LOT since we bought it 18 months ago.

Charcoal is really cheap here too, and all the accessories. I echo the poster who's said the chimney starter is a good idea but other than that, I think you'd be all set to go!

ETA, yes, get the 57cm. We've got the 47cm but there's only 2 of us and it's perfect but for 4 people the 57cm is ideal and there's space for a small, not normally invited guest too :-)
Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)

I have the smaller one - I wish I had bought the larger one. In fact, I probably will.

The poster above is right about putting veg on. Get some halved onions on a skewer on there. Yum.
