credit file query

Hi guys,
I have started the process of applying for a mortgage with the woolwich.
I have had an AIP but have a query before I proceed to the full application.
I applied for a credit card in Jan/Feb this year which was declined. I obtained my credit report in June which showed I had two 1 month missed payments for a Next Directory account from 2008. This was incorrect and Next have rectified the mistake.
I applied for the credit card as it had a 0% transfer offer, and at the time I was relatively niave about my credit report and didnt question why I had been declined. (Apart from the Next error, I have never missed a payment on any account).
I understand that any searches carried out should be visible to me on the credit report I have access to. I cannot see a search by barclaycard on my credit file. How long do searches stay on your file for?
One of the questions asked by the woolwich mortgage advisor was have you been turned down for credit. I had completely forgotten about this card application and I am now panicking that I have not declared it. Should I speak to the mortgage advisor about this? But if the application is not showing as a search do I need to?

Lenders usually look at a 12 month profile on credit, whether it is loans, cards, mortgage etc. Calm down and dont worry, you will be fine, if it flags up tell them it was a mistake made by Next, which by the seems of things is the Truth.I am a Mortgage Advisor. Are you looking at all 3 credit files or only one? The reason I ask is some lenders run checks with specific CRA and not all three. So if you were looking at your experian report, but Barclays search equifax, then the search would only show on your equifax.0 -
I have checked all 3 files which is why I am confused.
I can currently see the following searches (all carried out in 2011, all show up on checkmyfile.com):
1)Aviva in Jan which I assume is for insurance I have with them.
2)Halifax in Feb for money laundering purposes as I opened an easycash account in order to have a visa electron card for ryanair flight bookings.
3)Aviva in July which was a home insurance comparison (recommend by the woolwich mortgage advisor)
4)credit reporting agency in July which I assume is checkmyfile.com as I signed up with them
I also took out a loan with First Direct in Sept 2010 which is not showing as a search either. The loan has now been repaid in full but the payments from September last year to date of repayment are showing on the report.
Should I be concerned that these searches are not showing up?0 -
Hi everyone,
Does anyone know how long it takes the Woolwich to process a mortgage application?
I submitted a bank statement on Monday (I originally submitted a Statement printed directlyfrom the internet) and answered underwriter queries about the building type last week.
It is a shared ownership mortgage.
Thank you.0 -
Hi
We received our mortgage offer from the Woolwich in the post yesterday (3rd August). The timeline to get this was -
Mortgage application completed and submitted to the Woolwich by our IFA - Monday 25th July
Valuation completed on the property we're purchasing - Thursday 28th July
Mortgage approved - Saturday 30th July
Surprisingly quick really! Hope that helps0
