If anybody wants to squeeze the price down further, it looks like it is down to only £28.99 on Amazon - would qualify for free Super Saver delivery, so you could save £1 if prepared to wait for it to be delivered.

Got one of these today and it's going back.

Nightmare to set up (for me anyway).

Recognised my TV and Sky OK, but would only carry out a few functions on my AV receiver and wouldn't recognise my DVD recorder at all.

To be fair, you can program missing functions into this remote, but I have neither the patience nor the time.

Nice sturdy bit of kit, but not for me I'm afraid. £30 wasted, not saved. :(

Thanks to the OP, coz I always fancied one of these so I could replace four or five RCs with one. Just a shame it didn't live up to my expectation.

Probably great for your standard TV, SKY, VCR & DVD player setup tho'

Conrad ones look 1st generation models, The Argos and Amazon ones are 2nd generation models. The latest versions are 3rd generations. Probably why Argos and Amazon are selling them cheap.

You can see the One For All range here :- http://www.oneforall-int.com/index.html

It takes little patience and no time to prgoram any missing functions.

I have it working a DVD recorder and a Topfield PVR.

Real gripes would have to be the 'OK' button perhaps and the battery life.

Sounds like you wrote it off before bothering much.
  • I programmed in my Sky +, LG Plasma TV and Panasonic Cinema System in 20 minutes.

If the remote shows five flashes and seems to be slow at changing channels the 2 AA batterys need replacing - Something that most of the remotes on offer at argos will need doing as the batterys are already in the unit from when the unit was packaged.
