Tesco cartridge and mobile phone recycling

I was hoping to do the Tesco printer cartridge and mobile phone recycling this year to get some extra clubcard points.

Does anyone else do this?

And how do you get hold of the mobile phones?

Any tips much appreciated! Many thanks

I picked up my recycling envelopes in store, diluvdiscounts PM me what you need and I can pick you some up on my travels.

I have 2 of my old mobile phones to recycle but the kiddies like to play pretend phones with them at the mo.

I know of people buying job lots of mobile phone and ink cartridges from ebay then getting the points.

Hi Welshy I've recycled a few phones and got the points no problem but keep a close eye on the cartridges because the 3 occasions I did send them off I received no points for them. Tesco Customer services were good enough to add these on when I queried my clubcard mailing in November. Just make sure you know how many you've sent off. I've been scooping up used ones from work but they've now introduced a charity recycling bin for them, so my source has dried up!

Don't forget you can only recycle a maximum of five phones per clubcard account per year. I've recycled a couple and got the points without any problems.

I have just looked on the website and cant see any where that it doesnt recycle epson inkjet cartridges, hope this helps.

It does say on the pre-paid envelopes that they don't accept Epson.

Most places will not accept epson or some canon cartridges because they cannot be remanufactured and have to be broken down instead - i.e no money in it for them! Thats why I like Eco-office!
