Just reserved one, then the store rang to say that the system was wrong and they haven't got any in stock (Stamford). Oh well, nice find though.

I reserved 1 late last night and rang the store this morning to double check if i had one put away as it was a 20 mile round trip for me ..i got a rather rude lady on the phone said that there was no customer reservations at all at her branch as she was the one to put them aside... I said I had a confirmation email and she still said there wasnt any thing put aside..I asked to speak to someone else as I had a reservation number and she put me on hold...seconds later she came back and said "ohh I found it in my cupboard, i must have missed it!!!" Unbelievable customer service...
Im more than happy to pay £5 for the set, but this time I had a £5 capital bond from a survey so it cost me nothing!! :j:j... I now have 2 very happy children who are currently sitting in the back garden on the decking on their new seats with a drink and a comic!!! :D
    Thanks op!!!

I have had several orders cancelled in this manner by Homebase. I have always wondered if the staff have not realised what a good deal something is until the reservation is made and then decide to buy it themselves. they are part of the same group as Argos, but this dosen't seem to happen at Argos - perhaps because the order does not have to be picked prior to pick up.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Reserved 2 at my local branch... when I got there their system said they had 3 in stock but didn't actually have any!!!!!

I asked to buy the display model that was in perfect condition so they sold it to me for £4... so all in all not a complete waste of time.

The one showing at Crawley isnt actually there? I reserved it, then received a phone call within half an hour from the store to say they didn't have any?
I am starting to wonder why I am still doing this?
  • Ordered one on-line and got confirmation e-mail to collect no later than Monday and yet again get a call saying none in stock..Had this happen lots of time with Homebase...
