shop selling melted choc bars

Not sure if this is right place to post, but my local shop, over last few visits ive noticed the chocolate bars are getting softer and softer, to the point of tonight,i picked up a cadburys caramel 99p bar that was pratically liquid :S its not just that brand, it seems to be most of the chocolates

what can be done from trading standards point of view or should i say something? Surely it will do something to the chocolate if it melts and re sets then melts again?

Not sure what it would do to the chocolate, but you should mention it to them.

it may be that they don't know about it. It could be something as simple as someone turning on the heating during a cold spell, or turning off the air conditioning during a hot spell. But if something is happening to the chocolate to make people not want to buy it from them, then I'm sure they would want to know about it, and do something about it.

I'd tell them, the corner shop on my road puts them in the fridge too. you could be very MSE and say "oh I was going to buy this but its all melted" then wait for them to offer you a discount :rotfl:
  • I have mentioned it once, but they say its fine nothing wrong lol they had a few bars in the fridge but only areo and cadburys, the rest of chocs were soft, they had fans on in shop regualry

OK, in your first post you ask if you should say something. When you are told "yes, say something" you say you already have.

So obviously what you want to hear is........

No, don't mention it, go to trading standards and you will get thousands in compensation.
