Hi
New to this site and in need of some advise ,can anyone tell me if you can claim the interest back that creditors have charged you whilst are on a DMP
(Dept management programme) .
Looking to settle early with creditors but not sure to ask for a full and final settlement figure first and then try to claim back interest that they have charged ,as if I try and do it now they would proberly just add it again to the settlment figure ..any one please .

No.
You cannot claim interest back.
Not being offensive, but why should you be able too?0 -
Hi there and welcome
I don't think you can claim interest, however, after you settle with the fulln and final payment, you can claim back any charges that you have incurred.
I suggest after, because the creditors may decide to pull the plug on your DMP if you put a claim in while on it.
Good luck!Leason learnt :beer:0
