Has anyone bought any games online from the Gamestation website? If so can somebody answer the following:

1) Is the service any good?
2) Are the games they sell shrink-wrapped in plastic?
3) Any discount vouchers going?

i have bought games from the website...no probs ..good customer service.
they was not plastic wrapped as they were preowned
i dont think they do discount vouchers.

1) decent customer service but apparantly they have been very slow at sending goods out in December, may be due to a big christmas rush?

2) Ordered a xbox 360 game from them which was sealed

3) the only voucher I ever received was through the post in their catalogue, cannot remember if I signed up for it online of if they automatically add you once you place an order

I think you can get Quidco cashback for Gamestation if that helps

My Wii games were shrink wrapped.

No problems at all, all sealed etc but no online vouchers or codes.

Bought an Xbox game from them - took over 4 weeks to arrive. Not impressed, as they told us the game we ordered was in stock and should have taken 2 - 3 days.

In my experience, Gamestation are okay, but not great compared to Play.com, HMV etc

If you order from their website, they sometimes cancel your order even though it was in stock at the time of ordering.

If you have a problem with your order, Customer Services are poor.

Delivery of items are late, but they generally do arrive.

Items are seldom plastic-wrapped and you wonder whether the item is new or second hand. However, looking at the underside or the disc and the manual suggest most of the time its new although the box sometimes looks like its been on display.

Generally, unless the price is far better than elsewhere (which sometimes it is) then generall I prefer to shop elsewhere.

I ordered two games from them before Christmas. They never arrived and were showing on the website as 'order incomplete' for some reason. After a couple of weeks I noticed they had put the price of the games up and I still haven't received them. I emailed them several times and got no response and the phone was always busy! I don't think I would try them again.

Ordered twice from them, first time ordered a lot, most of it was cancelled but they took the money for 2 and eventually they refunded me after waiting a few weeks but still no games....they were quite helpful on the phone, (when I eventually got through)
I tried to order a game just before xmas and there were 2 left in stock but a week or so later order was cancelled!!!
Although in fairness both orders were a result of being posted on MSE so they more than likely had a flood of buyers so I'm not totally put off but it would be there last chance.
