cleaning kitchen floor

Options
My kitchen floor has really stupid vinyl with a stipply texture, so when it is mopped the dirt stays in the textured bits.
Yesterday i managed to clean one small patch by scrubbing it with a scrubbing brush, but had to stop as my back was aching, so it will take me a week to do the whole floor at that rate.
Any other ideas please?

I've got a stippled vinyl kitchen floor and feel your pain. I used to get on my knees and scrub it (and curse the landlord) but now I've got a steam cleaner and use that with a microfibre cloth over the brush end and it does the job easily.

Thanks for that, interesting - its exactly what OH suggested, but i was afraid it would blister the vinyl or something. I'll give it a try.
