Savings Account for Children - rejected

Hi All,
Wonder if anyone is able to help, am feeling rather cross at the minute.
Basically me and OH declared BR in Aug 09, we now live in a rented property and have a joint account with the Co-op. Just the basic account. We have two children and wanted to set up savings accounts, applied via the Co-op ( this was in my namefor the kids) and the application got rejected.
When I spoke to them they said to appeal, get a copy of my credit report and of the BR Discharge details, we were both discharged in Dec 09. I noted that me and hubby have joint account already with Co-op, that I have a mobile phone contract, all bills are paid on time etc.
Have just had the Appeal decison and it has been rejected !!!!:(
Has anyone else had experience with this ?

I have CTF accounts with family savings. Great website and easy to operate. Life's too short to be angry so give Family savings your business and the best outcome for your children.:jIts time to nut up or shut up......!:laugh:
