Clinique beauty bag free gift - got it in the end!

I went into Boots last week and wanted to buy some 7 Day Scrub and 'Take the Day Off' eye make up remover, I asked for these items and the woman said about the extra points offer (which I had forgotten about tbh), where if you buy 3 items you get £7.50 worth of points, so I bought their chubby lip balm as well. Anyway, I briefly saw about the beauty bag gifts there but didn't think much about it, for some reason I thought I can't be entitled to that as I got this offer instead.

I went home and a couple of days later I was browsing on the Boots website (as you do!) and saw about the offer again - my goodness I thought! I was entitled to one of those beauty bags as well as I purchased 2 skin care items!!! So I went in yesterday, not believing the woman would believe me! but I explained what I had bought, and not received the bag, showed her my receipt, and she let me have one. Good of her really, though I was a bit annoyed that the woman the first time round didn't offer me one!! Good to get what you are entitled to!
