  • Hi I'm on day one of early upgrade with O2 and have been hunting for the best deal myself....my best was via quidco with vodaphone....but my work phone a blackberry is Vodaphone and signal is really rubbish

To keep your number port it to another network PAYG free sim, then port back in as a new customer......I did that last time I upgraded to get the best deal!

    Thanks butterscotch

So port the Voda number I want to keep over to, say an Orange PATG sim, them back over to the new Voda deal I got on the iphone?

Can i port my Voda number over to Orange before current Voda contract expires, if i pay up the term? (1 month left)

I have ported my number every year I have had a new contract (O2, Vodafone, Virgin, T-Mobile) and it's never affected my Quidco payment. The only time it caused a slight problem was when I was going for an O2 contract from an existing O2 contract. For some reason it caused problems but they sorted it in the end. I didn't have to port it to a PAYG sim at any point.
