I would personally wait as prices are going down to 130 on 12th august as sales arent going to good.

Great deal OP! Shame DS bought one just last week

We paid Amazon £173 for console and Zelda game as they had package for £193 minus a Lovefilm voucher for £20.

If we had waited we could have got the console for £149.99 + game £9.91 (£29.91 - £20 voucher) so would have been about £13 cheaper. Nevermind - done now. Always a better deal on the horizon

There was lots in the news yesterday. I think Nintendo lost money for the first time ever, and have announced they will be cutting the cost of the 3D DS:

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-14337301

'Nintendo earnings were hit by weak sales of its new gadget, the handlheld 3DS console.
In an attempt to boost sales the company has announced huge price cuts.
The price in Japan will be about 40% less - retailing at 15,000 yen. In the US, the price will drop next month to $169.99 from $249.99.'

New UK prices haven't yet been announced, but they are coming!!!

DONT DO IT JUST YET :)

As has been said all over the news yesterday:

If you can wait then that may be a more MSE idea ;)

in the paper its stating if you have paid over the new price that you should be able to get 20 free games as a sweetner though. So not all bad.

    EDIT

Also as the article suggests technology really is moving on from these kind of hand held machines I am sure "most" kids would now much prefer a tablet, does not have to be a ridiculously expensive IPad an Android based one for less than £200 should put a smile on their faces :)

All 3 of mine are having them for Christmas this year they are 10, 8 and 4, there are many more uses for these than just games loads of which are available on Adnroid Market, they can surf the internet, (they will connect via your home Wi-Fi) watch DVD's, music, read PDF's use loads of loads of different applications all reasonably priced.....................

Honestly I really do think the DS and PSP's days are seriously numbered.

    HTH :)
