How long with underwriters?

Hello,
Just wondering what the least amount of time your mortgage application was with the underwriters (if at all?)
I have applied to my current mortgage providers (NWB) and added my partner, so its now a joint application. Having just called them they informed me that it was not on the system yet. Okay so it has only been 2 days but I am going crazy....
Thanks:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

48 hours to apply documments to an application file is pretty standard. This will then be checked (another 24 - 48 hours in most cases) and if the application and supporting docs are complete they will be placed in the underwriting queue and guess what ? Yup, another 24 - 48 hours. Then they book the valuation and await the response - 4/5 days ? Then back in the underwriting queue !
The actual process and time scales varies by lender - but above is pretty indicative on a simple case/average lender on a good day !
If you are with Accord or Clydesdale (and others) please expect considerably longer at the moment.
I suggest you chill out and wait for the pub to open at 5.30 !Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
For what are you applying to NatWest?
Transfer of equity?
Purchase?
A T of E is dealt with by a different unit to a new purchase application so that may take longer than a new application.I am a mortgage broker.
