If you dont mind losing a small area of cooking space, put some hickory chips in a LITTLE water in a metal foil dish/tray and stand on the corner of the grill. It creates a "BBQ steam". Its not brilliant but at least the food doesnt taste simply grilled.

Can anyone please let me know where to buy gas for this and how much it usually costs?

    Thank you!

Available from DIY stores, some garages (eg:- morrisons) and camping shops as well as specific calor gas sellers

I gas bottle refil will costs about £17-£25 depending on bottle size once you have acquired the orginal bottle (about £30). Look out on freecycle for people giving the bottles away 9from when they bought gas BBQs and now never use them ..lol)

your local council tip is the best place to get an empty gas bottle for free....they allways have shed loads of them and give them away no problem, the bootle you get doesnt have to be the same size as the bottle you want either.....best bet is a petrol station

I've ordered one of these, to use next time we have a power cut mainly. We have charcoal bbqs but I expect this will be quicker to set up & put away.
