I finally got my free tastecard last week and decided to use it today, only to find out I cannot get 50% off my total bill at Pizza Express they told me to read the terms and conditions on the website which I did and it clearly states on the back of the card 50%off or 2for1 but they are willing to give me a pizza for free after i just ate one.
what a rip off.

just says 2 for 1 as far as I can see for Pizza Express
This exclusive offer to taste members of 2 for 1 is across all course ordered (starters, mains and desserts); the cheapest or equivalent dish of each course being free. This is an offer for 2 people per taste card, although multiple cards can be used for your party - therefore if 4 people dine and present 2 cards, 2 people will eat for free. The Dolcetti section of the menu – which is a coffee and sample of a dessert – is not included in the offer.0 -
Some restaurants are on 50% we often go out in a 3 and do get 50% off the total . Its restaurant specific bit if you check on the site its quite clear. IMO its a great money saving card0

I had the same problem as this the one and only time to date I used a Tastecard. It was at Khyber in Croydon and I understood we would get 2-4-1 on all courses, but they insisted they could only give us 1 main course for free and nothing else. Wasn't impressed.
This was of course after we'd both put away 3 courses!!0 -
My OH & me used the tastecard this last Sunday at Pizza Express. We got 2 starters and 2 pizzas but paid only for 1 of each. At first the girl who served us said she can't give 2 4 1, then I told her that I read on the website abt the offer. She went to consult someone and said, yes you can have 2 4 1. You have to be firm with them and if they are making probs ask for the manager. If you feel my post has been useful, " merci" would not go amiss.
