i got some fresh plaice from Morrisons in those sealed packsmthier own fishmongers, bought this in November, defrosted today,is it still ok to eat, nothing to show the usage date on the packaging.
What happens if you put stuff in freezer and you dont cover the item properly,is it still safe to eat?

The plaice should be perfectly fine to eat. Not sure why there's not an 'eat by' date.
The only thing that you'll get with uncovered food is freezer burn which, although safe to eat, isn't very pleasant. It depends on the food and the degree of burn. Use your judgement once cooked to decide if it's nice to eat or not.TL0 -
Hi bigfoot,
As long as it was within it's use by date when you froze it, it should be fine. If it looks and smells fine when defrosted then I would eat it.
If you don't cover something properly before freezing it can get freezer burn which will affect the look and sometimes the taste of the food, but it should still be safe to eat.
