Maille Hollandaise Sauce

For the past couple of years the price of this product in Tesco or Morrisons has been somewhere between £1 and £1.10p. Sometimes it has fallen just below £1. Not any more. Price in Tesco is now £1.50 and my local Morrisons appear to no longer stock it. This sudden surge in price has taken place at a time when Maille seem to be conducting a major advertising campaign. Just remind me again - who exactly pays for those newspaper ads??
I object to this ridiculous price for a tiny 200g jar! Why does it cost 3 or 4 times the price of a similar product - Mayonnaise for example.
I intend to take this up with Tesco (hopefully with support on this thread from you....;)). Maybe they should bring out an own brand version for 99p - if they do watch sales of Maille fall 20% overnight....
