I was really just meaning the small stakeholder. Yup, the 25% of this should be for retirement, but people use these lump sums for clearly debt on a regular basis. Speaking just for myself, if all my debts (inc mortgage) weren't cleared, then I wouldn't even contemplate retiring, but I've never really been a debt person.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
